Confidentiality is a cornerstone of King Rings. We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our customers.
Unlike many online businesses, we do not and will not sell or rent access to customer mailing lists or databases to other companies. We will not share ordering information with anyone outside of King Rings.
We have taken extensive measures to make our order systems secure. All exchange of personal data takes place in a secure environment and with a high level encryption. King Rings does not have access to any of your credit card information. That is all processed through a credit card processor (PayPal or another third-party gateway/credit card processor). They are closely monitored and operate within the parameters set by United States Federal law as well as Economic Union GDPR and Data Protection Reform.
If you choose to join our mailing list, you will only receive information from King Rings about special offers or new products. We do not sell or share our mailing with anyone outside of King Rings.
DATA KING RINGS RETAINS
If you set up an account for ordering, your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and the web source that referred you to kingrings.com are maintained as part of your buying history. This enables us to better assist you with questions about past orders, sizing, etc.
If you signed up to receive the King Rings’ newsletter, we have your e-mail address on file. You can opt out of receiving this e-mail by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter e-mail. This will delete your information from our newsletter application.
RIGHT TO HAVE PERSONAL DATA DELETED
If you would like this information deleted, please send an e-mail to admin@king-rings.com and let us know you would like this information to be removed. Please note that when re-ordering, there will be no history available to you and you will have to re-enter all of this information.
SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS
You have the right to know any data related to you that King Rings LLC has. You also have the right to know why we have the data; any data we have has been provided by each individual customer to fulfill an order or comply with a request for marketing. You also have the right to know whether it has been given to a third party. The only information handled by a third party is credit card information (which King Rings never sees in an effort to provide additional consumer protection). None of your personal information is sold, shared, traded or given to any other third party organizations or individuals. If you would like a copy of the information King Rings has on file for you, please e-mail us at admin@king-rings.com and let us know where you would like this information sent. If you need a hard copy, please provide your mailing address. Legal guidelines require that it be sent within 30 days.
LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING DATA
In accordance with regulations, we have a lawful basis for processing data due to each customer’s personal consent. When ordering or signing up for marketing you authorized King Rings to process the transaction and maintain your information.
HOW CONSENT IS OBTAINED
We do not use ‘pre-checked’ boxes. As a customer you must give active consent by checking a box (to sign up for marketing) or filling in credit card information to make a purchase. Therefore, you must “positively opt in.”
PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN
To process a transaction, a buyer must have a credit card. To sign up for marketing, you must actively click the box indicating that you are over the age of 18 years old.
DATA BREACHES
Our third-party credit card processor and/or gateway companies actively work to protect credit card and personal information. Our website platform is WooCommerce. They also actively work to protect personal information and have a team dedicated to your protection and detection of breaches. In case of a breach, they will initiate the notification process.
