Celtic Band was the style of our very first prototype in 2018 and its wow factor took our breath away. This is the ring that convinced us our idea of luxury metal rings for discerning gentlemen – of intimate hardware for both style and performance – was going to be a game changer. No one had ever seen a ring like this and Celtic Band still has no peer in the market – it is exclusively a King Ring.
The Interview: Celtic Band
Every Ring of the Month comes with a story. Some are loud. Some are understated. January’s Celtic Band sits comfortably at the top — a true original and unapologetically classic.
We sat down with this month’s hardware to ask a few questions.
Q: Let’s start simple—how would you describe yourself to someone seeing you for the first time?
A: Confident, precision crafted and unyielding. Also, cocky and a bit flashy but never boring and I love to play a supporting role in steamy love scenes.
Q: Your design is rooted in tradition. Where do you come from?
Tradition has good taste. I come from centuries of interwoven symbolism, passed down by people who valued continuity, craftsmanship, and things that last forever. The details may be ancient, but I’m a decidedly modern twist with knots that are artful and kinky.
Q: What kind of guy do you look best on?
Stately men with eyes for style who value symbols of strength. It doesn’t hurt if he has a nice looking wiener but I can work with anything – I’m great at that.
Q: Are you the kind of ring that settles down—or likes a little attention?
Once I settle in, you will never forget I’m there. I’m anything but shy and love to be the center of attention, take me out and show me around, I promise I won’t let you down.
Q: People always want to know—what are you made of?
Pure ambition, LOL! Actually, I am sintered tungsten and carbon with a bright nickel binder. It sounds simple enough but I’m forged at 2600°F, so I’m a real hottie! Jewelers give me a fresh cut and dress me up but, deep down, I’m hard as nails. Well, actually a lot harder than nails. A lot.
Q: What do you think people notice first about you?
My big knots. I catch people staring at them and it makes me feel all tied up. It’s ok, I really do have beautiful knots but I also have gentle curves and a very bright polish. When it comes to my finer features, the bevel is in the details.
Q: Are you more everyday wear—or special occasion?
Every day, absolutely. I hate that stupid drawer next to the bed, it’s dark and the chapstick keeps licking her lips. My buddy Lube lives there, he’s slick but you can only handle so much of him.
Q: Anything you want to tell someone who’s thinking about taking you home?
You need me more than I need you. Face it, I’ll live forever, as perfect and shiny as I am today, and you’ll be getting older and limper. I’m a friend though, a really good one – loyal, always there, I can take a beating or help you stiff anyone you like.
