Description
Two mineralogist brothers working at a Seminary in Vergara, Spain in 1781 isolated a new element they named Wolfram. It was later renamed Tungsten but still retains the atomic symbol “W” as a reminder of its history. The brothers could never have imagined the wide applications for Wolfram – especially in crafting luxury pleasure products for discerning gentlemen.
This Tungsten Carbide (WC) ring style we have named “Wolfram” is a nod to history but is also coated with the modern, space age process of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) – a technology advanced by NASA for aerospace applications. This tech was not originally intended for use on jewelry but proved to be highly durable and was picked up by the watch industry – and now by King Rings. The result is atomically bonded color pigments which give the rings a resilient, highly scratch resistant surface.
Wolfram rings bear a rich blend of history and modern tech and are like nothing you’ll find anywhere else. Gentlemen deserve nice things, King Rings delivers.
