Right in the Middle
The photos above tell the story. This month’s Reserve gives up some of the bulk of rings like GOLIATH without becoming anything close to a lightweight. Its slimmer proportions put it in an interesting middle ground: plenty of tungsten carbide heft, in a ring that’s exceptionally easy to wear.
At 15 mm wide and 6.5 mm thick, there’s less material than in our standard 20 mm cock rings – and therefore less weight. But tungsten carbide is extraordinarily dense stuff. The result still has the solid, substantial feel that makes tungsten so different from conventional metal rings, just in a more streamlined package. Depending on size, it still tips the scales at an impressive 5.4 to 6.5 ounces.
The shape contributes as much to the experience as the dimensions. A dome-cut exterior creates a smooth, uninterrupted curve across the face of the ring, while the comfort-fit interior rounds the inside edges where they meet the body. The entire ring is finished in a brilliant mirror polish, leaving the design deliberately simple and letting the shape and material do the work.
For someone who loves the feel of tungsten but doesn’t necessarily want the biggest, heaviest ring we can make, this one may hit a particularly nice sweet spot. Substantial enough to know it’s there. Comfortable enough that you may be perfectly happy leaving it there.
