This month's Ring of the Month brings back a design that has earned plenty of fans over the years, while The Reserve heads in a completely different direction with a one-of-a-kind piece built around natural malachite.

We've also been spending some time tinkering behind the scenes. We're slowly working our way through enhancements to the online store, you'll start seeing those updates throughout the site.

Hammered Rose has been with us for years, pairing a faceted copper and gold finish with polished black tungsten in a combination that's warm, distinctive, and unmistakably on brand as a leader in the market.

This month, we're giving it the attention it deserves.

THE RESERVE

The Reserve exists for rings that don't quite fit anywhere else. Sometimes prototypes. Sometimes samples. They're all simply too good to leave in a drawer.
|
|
|
This month's piece features natural crushed malachite, a gemstone with a history measured in millennia. Ancient Egyptians carved it into jewelry and decorative objects. We've framed it in mirror polished tungsten carbide - a decidedly modern take.
|
|
|
This design fell out of R&D and never became one of our regular offerings, though its influence can be found elsewhere in our catalog.
|
|

Personal Notes
|
|
|
I have a confession to make.
|
|
|
In 2017, when I had the bright idea to produce higher quality cock rings, it was difficult to find a jeweler who took me seriously - or even understood what I was asking for. I was persistent and eventually able to order prototypes.
|
|
|
Steel was what I set out to make. It was familiar, affordable, and what most guys were wearing. But I was offered material choices and one option was tungsten carbide. It cost quite a bit more, so I assumed it must be better. Truthfully, I didn't even know what tungsten carbide was. True story.
|
|
|
When the samples started arriving, when I had steel and tungsten rings to compare, the choice was obvious. I was absolutely blown away by the weight, high polish, and durability of Tungsten Carbide. It was a total stand-out that I knew could build a brand.
|
|
|
That decision has served us well.
|
|
|
It has also painted us into an interesting corner.
|
|
|
If you follow the news, you've probably seen stories about critical minerals, sometimes called rare earths, tied up in Geo-politics. Production gets suppressed and exports restricted. Tungsten sits high on that list.
|
|
|
Today, the same limited resource we use for our rings is being sought after by big industry and defense departments. Supplies have tightened and prices have skyrocketed. At the moment, price doesn't even seem to matter, we can't get enough material. Replenishing inventory has become much harder than it was even a year ago.
|
|
|
The easy answer would be to switch materials. We're not going to.
|
|
|
There are already plenty of steel rings in the world. King Rings became what it is because we refused to build something ordinary, that hasn't changed. Today, we refuse to give up.
|
|
|
The downside is that some sizes and styles may disappear for longer than we'd like while we wait for new production.
|
|
|
The upside is that every ring leaving our shop today is still exactly what we set out to make.
|
|
|
Call me old-fashioned, but I'd rather see tungsten turned into cock rings than ammunition. Make love, not war. 😉✌🏻
